Dark charcoal horizontal boards clad the main house under a hipped standing-seam metal roof, with white window frames, two white chimneys and a roof ladder outside. A central bay of glazed patio doors shelters under a slim projecting canopy, and a timber deck is being laid along the front. A matching detached building, dark-clad in the same way under a gabled metal roof, holds a garage and an open carport on a block foundation. Indoors, one unfinished room shows a painted white board ceiling and a light wood floor, its triple window taking in the pines and the ice. Snow, meltwater and raw timber decking place the work at the finishing stage rather than fully done, though the structure is plainly built.
