Insulated Garden Saunas

A standardised line of insulated outdoor saunas for the garden: a real C24 frame, 100 mm of rock wool, a panoramic glass wall and a proper stove. You choose a model rather than commission a build.

A garden sauna worth owning is a small insulated building, not a pod: structural frame, real insulation, tempered glazing and a stove chosen for how you bathe. That is the whole idea of this line.

Built properly, or not worth building

In short: a standardised line of insulated outdoor saunas for the garden, built properly. Structural C24 frame, 100 mm of rock wool, thermo-treated interiors, panoramic tempered glazing and a real stove, electric or wood-fired.

Most low-cost garden saunas are uninsulated pods or thin single-skin barrels. We took the opposite route. Our models are compact buildings, framed in C24 structural timber, insulated with 100 mm of rock wool and finished the way a sauna should be finished, in thermo-treated wood that takes heat and moisture year after year.

The models run from an intimate two-person cabin to a six-person sauna with a vestibule. Every outdoor sauna in the line shares the same construction: an insulated frame, interiors in thermo-treated spruce and ash, a panoramic wall of tempered glass, and a standing seam metal roof. The stove is your choice, electric or wood-fired.

Key takeaway: a garden sauna is worth choosing when it is built as a proper insulated small building, glazed and roofed like one, and that is exactly how this line is made.

A panoramic model is in our projects section, shown inside and out.

Four things that define the line

Every model shares the same construction discipline. These four decisions are why it works in January, not only in July.

  • Insulated garden sauna at dusk with a panoramic glass wall glowing warm

    The panoramic wall

One wall is entirely tempered glass, so the session faces the garden: birches, evening light, snow. The room glows instead of hiding.

  • Cutaway drawing of a garden sauna showing the insulated frame, benches and stove

    The insulated shell

A C24 structural frame with 100 mm of rock wool in the walls, closed with thermo-treated wood inside. The cutaway shows the whole build.

  • Garden sauna interior with a wood-fired stove and a window to an evening garden

    A real stove, your call

Electric or wood-fired, with the benches set around the heat. The ritual is yours; the room is planned for it either way.

  • Garden sauna in deep snow with warm light through the glass wall

    Made for winter

The insulated shell holds its temperature when the garden is under snow, which is exactly when a sauna earns the plot it stands on.

Garden line or solid timber flagship?

Both are real saunas; the difference is the wall and the way you buy.

Garden sauna questions, answered straight

Is an insulated garden sauna worth it?

If it is insulated and roofed like a real building, yes: it becomes a year-round room in the garden, not a summer toy. If it is a bare pod, expect it to be pleasant in July and hard work in January.

Is a garden sauna better than a barrel sauna?

For year-round use in a northern climate, yes. A barrel or pod without proper insulation loses its heat to the sky, so the stove fights the weather instead of warming the room. An insulated build holds its temperature and is easier to heat.

Can I put a sauna in my garden?

In most gardens, yes: these are compact buildings with a small footprint that want a level base and sensible clearance from fences and branches. Planning rules differ by country and municipality, so check yours before ordering.

What is the difference between the garden line and your custom saunas?

The wall and the way you buy. The garden line is a standardised insulated frame: you choose a model rather than commission a build. Our custom solid timber saunas and banyas are massive wood, the same walls as our houses, designed around your site and how you take your heat.
