At dusk, Ele Ribby glows sage green, its terraces picked out by candles and strings of light. Horizontal weatherboard clads the walls, trimmed in white around the windows and corners. The main volume rises two storeys to a pitched gable, and a semicircular fanlight in that gable marks a habitable attic. Beside it, a second green volume is roofed in standing-seam metal.
A timber deck runs around the house, screened by white picket fencing on a paved forecourt. Seating and a dining table sit under the eaves, with potted plants ranged along the boards. The neighbours fix the setting as an established residential street rather than open country: a grey house roofed in metal on one side, a small red cottage further off.
