A-frame retreat by the water

A blackened-timber A-frame, engineered as a four-season home rather than a summer cabin: a solid timber structure under a standing-seam roof, full-height glazing onto the water and its own barrel sauna a few steps from the door.

These photographs follow the build from the raised timber frame and the wrapped shell to the fitted interior and the finished cabin at dusk. Every part is wood, cut to the millimetre in our workshop in Latvia and assembled on site.
